Moody Blues gearing up for a second cruise

Justin Hayward and his band, The Moody Blues, are getting set for their second caribbean cruise. Only a few thousand fans will be fortunate enough to hear the band as they rock the seas. The cruise will also feature fellow Isle of Wight Festival alums Carl Palmer of ELP, Lighthouse, Shawn Phillips and Roger Daltrey of The Who. In addition, notable artists from the 60s, 70s and 80s will play. Justin Hayward answered some questions regarding the cruise in comparison to other concerts. “Well, it’s a little bit more intense,” admitted Hayward, “because as you’ve intimated there, most of the people on the cruise know a lot about The Moody Blues and they’re interested in the details. I enjoy the question and answer things and the interaction with people just as much as I do the concerts, really.” Justin is particularly intrigued with the Isles of Wright theme this year. He will have the chance to hear old friends and peers play music. “The nice part for us is the times we meet up together because they set aside parts of the boat that the artists can go.”
